Description

Bolt locking Latch Delete Plugs, are designed for the Taipan Lite model.

Here goes for a description, hopefully it makes sense.

Some people when fitting a spring assist kit want to remove the Bolt Locking Latch.

This Plug is designed for filling the hole when the bolt locking latch is removed, ie when a spring kit is fitted to the lite model.

The spring holds the bolt carrier assembly in the forward position thus the bolt is in the locked position when the rifle is to be fired (like the X model, it has the locking catch removed)

A note to this like the X model the pump needs to be in the forward position for the hammer and firing pin to be effective, the spring will push the pump forward, the firer needs to be aware and adapt their firing positions to suit, l would still recommend holding onto the pump on the forward action, utilising the spring to assist in smoother loading, my opinion would be to not allow the rifle to slam the pump forward on its own, instead keeping your hand on the pump as over time this will lead to wear and tear, Plus anytime you don't have you no master hand on the pump, your not in a ready to fire position. The pump grips on both Taipans are not designed to be used as a shooting rest or for barricade shooting positions, they are designed solely for the non master hand to hold onto, with the design of the bolt carrier the bolt will stay locked for the first few mm of rearward travel, as the carrier and pump move rearward, however the hammer will only be able to effectively impact the firing pin while it's in the forward and locked position, so that mean your shooting style and position needs to allow the rifle to be fired with the pump in the fully foreword position, no rearwards pressure or movement otherwise soft strikes may occur.

Shooting positions/support for the rifle can be effectively braced or supported with options like bipods etc.
